Welcome to the Faith in Action Awards Journey!
We want to begin by saying a huge thank you for agreeing to take part. The Faith in Action Awards have already helped young people in Catholic schools and parishes across the country to be celebrated for the ways in which they live out their faith. We’re excited to be partnering with our Brothers and Sisters in the Diocese of Arundel and Brighton as we explore how to make the awards accessible to children and young people within a Church of England context.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of our bishops, the Diocesan Board of Education and our colleagues from the Catholic church, all of whom are cheering us on, praying for us, and looking forward to our many stories of success.
The year of faith is, for our diocese, a time to reflect on all the ways in which God’s faithfulness has been known, as the Christian faith has been passed from person to person in the 950 years since our Diocese’s founding. The Faith in Action awards offer another way for our parishes, schools and communities to support young people to live out their own Christian faith.
As we embark on this adventure know that:
- our inboxes are open to offer support, hear your success and work through your frustrations
- our excitement is palpable for all that might happen as we work together for the sake of our young people
- and our hopes are high that this will be a journey that enriches the lives of children, young people, their schools, families, and parishes.
